Founded in 1940 by Thurgood Marshall, the Legal Defense Fund is America's premier legal organization fighting for racial justice. The 2024 National Equal Justice Awards Dinner served as a homage to the landmark Supreme Court case, Brown v. Board of Education, celebrating its impact on civil rights and education equality with the unifying rally cry that “We Are All Brown.”
Honorees included Apple's Racial Equity & Justice Initiative, Spike Lee and Tonya Lewis Lee, and Ted Shaw. Adonis led programming, show production, talent relations, and content capture.
